
Rules
Teams of several people form teams and compete for points awarded according to the amount and type of trash picked up in a designated area within a time limit. According to the World Cup rules, teams are made up of three people, and the time limit is one hour (with an additional 20 minutes for sorting).

Eligibility for Participation
Anyone can participate in the preliminary rounds, regardless of age or gender. The appeal of SPOGOMI is that anyone can win, depending on teamwork, strategy, and tactics.

Schedule
The World Cup, with each country's representatives, is scheduled to be held in Japan in October 2025. In preparation for this event, preliminary tournaments and national tournaments are scheduled to be held in the GTA.

How the Competition Works
Preliminary Rounds: Compete in teams of 3 for a chance to advance!
Finals – Top 30 Teams: The top 15 teams from each preliminary round will move on to the final showdown.
Grand Prize – Team Canada: The winning team will represent Canada in Japan in October 2025, with travel & accommodations fully covered!
Bonus: At the SPOGOMI World Cup in Japan, you will get the experience of a life time. Guided tours, free meals, and make friends with other SPOGOMI competitors from all over the world.
