Rules

1. General Information
Team Composition: Each team consists of 3 participants.
Supervision: Each team is assigned one referee who ensures adherence to the rules.
Competition Duration: 1 hour.
Finish Line Rule: All team members must cross the finish line together and report to the referees.



2. Scoring System
Trash is categorized, and points are awarded based on weight:
Trash Categories & Points
Burnable Trash (Paper, fabric, magazines, cardboard, plastic bags, food wrappers, etc.)
100g → 10 points (Rounded to the nearest 100g)
Glass Bottles & Aluminum Cans
100g → 12 points
Cigarette Butts
100g → 200 points
Plastic PET Bottles (Plastic drink bottles, cups, takeout containers, etc.)
100g → 25 points
Non-Burnable Trash (Vinyl umbrellas, glass, ceramics, batteries, metal, etc.)
100g → 10 points
Banned Trash (-100 Points per item)
Items larger than 30L competition garbage bags (700mm x 500mm)
Hazardous or special disposal items (e.g., fire extinguishers, rice cookers, tires, upholstery, sharp/biohazardous waste)
Environmental debris (e.g., bricks, concrete, yard waste, sticks)
Incorrectly sorted trash



3. Competition Rules
Movement Rules
Participants must walk only.
Running is prohibited (At least one foot must always be on the ground).
Mobility Rule: Use of any tools, services, or travel devices (e.g., public transportation, bicycles, scooters, taxis) is strictly prohibited.
Exception: Participants using mobility aids for accessibility (e.g., wheelchairs, canes) are permitted.
Violation results in disqualification.
Trash Collection Rules
Only collect trash from public areas.
Do not pick up trash from garbage bins or collection points.
Do not collect oversized trash that doesn’t fit in the provided garbage bags.
Teamwork Requirements
Team members must stay within 10 meters of each other.
Traffic & Safety Rules
Teams must follow all traffic laws.
Damaging the environment is strictly prohibited.


4. Penalties & Disqualifications
Point Deductions
Late return: -10 points per minute past the deadline.
Disqualification if more than 10 minutes late.
Incorrect trash sorting: -100 points per item.
Disqualification Offenses
Unsportsmanlike conduct.
Failure to follow staff/judge instructions.
Use of unauthorized mobility aids or travel devices.
Deliberately increasing trash weight (e.g., wet trash, adding garbage from other sources).
Exceeding 10-minute late return limit.

5. Additional Notes
Listen to referees: Warnings will be given for rule violations. Multiple warnings may lead to point deductions or disqualification.
Final Scoring: Teams must submit collected trash for weighing and verification before points are finalized.
Competition Integrity: Any attempts to cheat will result in immediate disqualification.
